Connecting Planetary Gods (Navagrahas) with Gods of Management (9 Ms)

Abstract

Purpose: The primary intention to carry out this research is to trace & explore Planetary Gods (Navagrahas) with Gods of Management (9 Ms), characteristics, and relationships with Hindu Mythologies and to make novices in management education.

Objective: The primary objective is to analyze the degree of relationship of nine influential heavenly bodies or Planetary Gods (Navagrahas) with nine Gods of Management (9 Ms).

Design/Methodology/Approach: The study is based on both secondary & primary evidence. The hypothesis is stated for the variables selected and thus analyzed to prove or disprove the same without any errors.

Findings/Results: The researcher identifies Planetary Gods (Navagrahas) and Gods of Management (9 Ms.) play similar relations by:

• Sun (Surya) = Men


• Moon (Chandra) = Methods


• Mars (Kuja) = Machine


• Mercury (Budha) = Management


• Jupiter (Guru) = Money (Monetary)


• Venus (Shukra) = Money (Non-Monetary)


• Saturn (Shani) = Motivation


• Neptune (Rahu) = Market


• Pluto (Ketu) = Moral Values


• *Earth (Bhoomi) = Materials

Research Limitations/Implications: In the present research an attempt is made by the researcher to understand the research gap in the area, to advance significance to discover the degree of relationship of nine influential heavenly bodies or Planetary Gods (Navagrahas) with nine Gods of Management (9 Ms).

Originality/New Knowledge/Interpretation/Value: Thus, it can be said if we apply the best practices of Hindu Mythologies in the best practices of Management, we will have fresh associates & can function better in the coming years and make organization look and function better in the years to come.
